What do you believe concerning TeenScreen?
Critics of TeenScreen, a suicide screening program, claim that it is simply a "recruiting" method fueled by the large pharmaceutical companies...after looking at the TeenScreen site, do you agree or disagree?

Interesting. I hadn't heard of this program before.

I don't think you could screen for mental illnesses, because you will have those who will lie to get out of class and those who need it who will act fine for the screeners. As a teacher and a person who had suicidical tendancies very young, I understand the importance of having programs that help those who need it, but we just need to be there for them and not try to fix them. We need to be there for all our students and watch them. If we see something is wrong, ask them and try to help.
